Interesting piece, which comes to the correct conclusion, in my view, though we must remember how easy it appears to be to get those LLMs to come over to our way of ‘thinking.’

I hate paying $20/mo for that dang toaster and mirror combo, but I’m still doing so, month after month… so far. Still, one of my heroes, George Box, once quipped, “All models are wrong, but some are useful.”

At heart, I think yes, at least the analyst side. Chemist-turned-statistician, who worked with engineers. Many still teach experimental statistics and design of experiments using Box, Hunter & Hunter.
